The Miriam Moeller Charitable Trust granted us $26,500 for our Homework and Health Initiative!
We had previously received $3,500 from a 2020 Keno Human Services Prevention Fund Grant so this additional Moeller grant helped us to completely fund the Homework and Health Initiative. This grant helps us deliver nurturing and structured Before & After School and Summer Programs that encourage children to do better in school and make positive life choices.
This generosity will support homework programs at Roper Elementary and Lakeview Elementary CLC and character-building activities through “Character Counts Pillars of Character” instruction at Willard's 12-week Summer Program. This grant will also support our staff and administration to provide this programming and cover some indirect costs. The Miriam Moeller Charitable Trust will benefit the lives of all of the children enrolled in the Willard Community Center Before & After School and Summer Programs.
