Employment Requirements
Willard Community Center is looking for fun, creative and energetic individuals who want to work with children. Would like at least 2 years experience working with children. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks at one time. Staff must be at least 19 years of age. Staff will be required to pass Central Registry checks through the Department of Health and Human Services, Fingerprinting through thr Nebraska State Patrol office, complete a Criminal History Check and pass the State Patrol sex offender register check. Staff must hold a valid drivers license. Staff must be willing to complete up to 12 hours of in-service training annually as well as be certified in CPR and First Aid.
Willard Community Center hires staff as needed to meet the child care licensing ratios and to give children a well supervised, educational, and fun environment. We have many different programs and at different sites. See below how to apply and for a brief job summary of each program. Thank You!

Job Summaries
Preschool Staff
Child care staff ensure the safety of the children enrolled in Willard's preschool program. Child Care Staff must play with and supervise children, interact with other Willard staff members, assist the preschool teacher in any way necessary, rub kids' backs during nap time, talk with parents and work cooperatively with school personnel to guarantee the smooth operation of the licensed program.
Willard Community Center is located at 1245 S. Folsom, we offer a mix of days and hours so that you can work around a college school schedule. The hours are 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Additional hours are available on LPS non-school days and summer days.
Pre-K Staff

Roper Staff

Child Care Staff must play with and supervise children, interact with other Willard staff members, talk with parents and work cooperatively with school personnel to guarantee the smooth operation of the licensed program.
Roper Elementary is located at 2323 Coddington Avenue, we offer a mix of days and hours so that you can work around a college school schedule. The hours are 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Additional hours are available on LPS non-school days and summer days.
Lakeview Staff
300 Capitol Beach Blvd
Child care staff ensure the safety of the children enrolled in Lakeview's before and after school care. Child Care Staff must play with and supervise children, interact with other Willard staff members, implement planned activities, talk with parents and work cooperatively with school personnel to guarantee the smooth operation of the licensed program.
Lakeview Elementary is located at 300 Capitol Beach Boulevard, we offer a mix of days and hours so that you can work around a college school schedule. The hours are 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Additional hours are available on LPS non-school days and summer days.
